MOLYKOTE® 111 Compound is a silicone-based lubricant and sealing compound designed for long-term lubrication and sealing of valves, O-rings, gaskets, and elastomer components operating in wet, chemically exposed, or environmentally harsh conditions. The compound is formulated with silicone oil and an inorganic thickener, creating a stable grease that provides reliable sealing performance and smooth mechanical operation.

This multi-purpose silicone lubricant offers excellent resistance to water washout, low volatility, and low vapor pressure, making it suitable for applications exposed to moisture, outdoor environments, or vacuum systems. The compound maintains lubrication performance across a wide service temperature range while remaining compatible with many plastics and rubber materials used in sealing systems.
MOLYKOTE 111 Compound is commonly used for lubrication of control valves, pressure plug valves, faucet valves, and water softener systems. It also functions as a sealing compound for vacuum and pressure systems, electrical service entrances, underground cable connections, and outdoor equipment exposed to weather or water. In addition, the compound acts as a damping medium in electrical and electronic components such as dash pots.
The silicone formulation prevents gasket adhesion to metal surfaces, allowing easy removal during maintenance while maintaining long-term sealing integrity. The compound is widely used in water treatment equipment, industrial maintenance, electrical installations, and plumbing systems requiring water-resistant lubrication and reliable sealing.
