Product Information
MOLYKOTE® G-Rapid Plus Paste is a high-performance solid lubricating assembly paste formulated to reduce friction and wear during assembly, press-fit operations, and running-in of metallic machine components. The paste contains mineral oil combined with solid lubricants that form a durable lubricating film capable of withstanding high loads and extreme pressures.
This assembly lubricant is engineered to provide a very low coefficient of friction, preventing seizure, scoring, and stick-slip during component installation and operation. The paste also helps reduce fretting corrosion between contacting metal surfaces and ensures smoother running-in of newly installed machine parts. Its high pressure-absorption capacity provides reliable lubrication under heavy loads and intermittent movement conditions.
MOLYKOTE G-Rapid Plus Paste is widely used in mechanical assembly and maintenance applications involving press-fit machine elements, threaded spindles, splined shafts, gear teeth, worm gears, sliding guides, and moving screws. It is also suitable for machining processes such as drilling, sawing, and thread cutting where lubrication is required to reduce friction and tool wear.
The paste improves coverage on metal surfaces and facilitates easy disassembly of components during maintenance operations. It can also provide emergency running performance in applications where continuous lubrication may not be available.
MOLYKOTE G-Rapid Plus Paste is commonly used in industrial machinery, machine tool maintenance, gear assemblies, and mechanical equipment where reliable assembly lubrication and anti-seize protection are required.
